Jehan is a unisex given name of French origin, derived from Jean, which itself is a form of Johannes, meaning "God is gracious." It was popular during the Middle Ages in France and parts of England, often appearing in literature of that era, such as in Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Today, Jehan is still used but remains relatively uncommon compared to its variant Jean or John.
"Jehan seems to have experienced a peak in popularity between 2000 and 2018, with the highest number of births occurring in 2018 (10). However, it remains relatively uncommon overall, with only 143 births recorded over the span of nearly five decades."
