Raekwon, born Corey Woods on January 21, 1970, is an American rapper and actor from Staten Island, New York City. He is a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, a hip-hop collective widely regarded as one of the most influential groups in the genre's history. Raekwon is often praised for his intricate rhyme schemes and storytelling abilities, earning him the nickname "The Chef" due to his complex lyrical style. His debut solo album, "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...", released in 1995, is considered a classic of the East Coast hip-hop scene and features renowned production by Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and fellow Staten Island native, DJ Premier.
