Siloam is of Hebrew origin, derived from the name of a pool near Jerusalem mentioned in the New Testament. The Pool of Siloam was reputedly used by King Hezekiah for water during sieges and also played a role in Jesus' miraculous healing of a man born blind (John 9:7). Thus, the name Siloam is deeply rooted in biblical history and significance.
The name Siloam had six instances of being given to newborns in the year 2018, with no previous occurrences.
