Rodrygo is of Portuguese origin and means "famous power". It is composed of two elements: 'hrod', meaning fame, and 'ric', meaning power. The name gained prominence through the Brazilian footballer Rodrygo Goes, born in 2001, who plays for Real Madrid. He started his professional career at Santos FC, where he won several titles before transferring to Real Madrid in 2019.
