Phinneas, of Greek origin, means 'mindful' and is derived from the name Phoenix. It was popularized by the famous Roman historian Livy who used it for one of his characters in his work Ab Urbe Condita. The name Phinneas has also been associated with biblical figures such as Phinehas, a grandson of Aaron who played a significant role in the Book of Numbers.
"While Phinneas saw its highest popularity with 17 births in both 2010 and 2011, the name's usage has since decreased, with only 5-9 births per year from 2018 onwards."
