Kiki is of Japanese origin, derived from 'Kikuchiyo', meaning 'valley of the tree'. It gained popularity in the West after the release of the animated film 'Kiki's Delivery Service' by Studio Ghibli.
"The name Kiki had a notable start with 10 births recorded in 1980, followed by a dip to 5 births each year from 1981 to 1985, resulting in a total of 25 babies named Kiki during that period."
